Special screening of “Sangeet Maanapmaan”

A special screening of “Sangeet Maanapmaan”, a Marathi Sangeet Natak, a blend of Hindustani classical music and folk tunes, presented by Jio Studios and produced by Shri Ganesh Marketing Films, was held on Wednesday 15^th January 2025 at 6.30 pm at Maquinez Palace Audi 1, Entertainment Society of Goa.

Hon’ble Chief Minister of Goa, Dr. Pramod Sawant who was present for the screening felicitated the cast members of the play.

Written by Krishnaji Prabhakar Khadilkar and Directed by Nipun Dharmadhikari, this Marathi play made its debut in the year 1912 with Balgandharva who played Bhamini and was considered a milestone in the Marathi theatre industry.

Ad Film and Reel making competition themed Organ Donation

The aim of the “Ad Film and Reel making competition themed Organ Donation” organized by the State Organ & Tissue Transplant Organization (SOTTO), Goa Medical College, Bambolim – Goa is to create awareness and promote the cause of Organ Donation.

The Producer(s) and / or right holder (s) may register by filling the Registration form latest by 17th January 2025 and submitting the same to the Office of the Entertainment Society of Goa. Last date for Film Submission is 5^th February 2025.

Film Finance Scheme 2016

The Entertainment Society of Goa invites the application for the Film Finance Scheme for the films produced between 1st January 2018 to 31st December 2023.

The scheme is applicable for Feature films in Konkani and Marathi and Non Feature films in Konkani, Marathi, Hindi and English. All films must have English sub titles and censor certificate issued between 1st January 2018 to 31st December 2023. The scheme is applicable for all film producers from Goa only.

The last date for downloading application form will be 18th January 2025 and last date of submission will be Friday, 14th February 2025. Applications received after the due date will be summarily rejected.

ALLOTMENT OF STALLS FOR 55th IFFI 2024

The Entertainment Society of Goa invites Applications from duly registered entities/companies for allotment/distribution of stalls during IFFI 2024 for the period of 9 days i.e. from 20^th Nov 2024 to 28^th Nov 2024. The rates and locations are as given below:-

The forms need to be submitted along with the necessary documents and Demand draft (DD) in sealed envelope superscribed as “Expression of Interest/Proposal for setting up of stalls for 55^th IFFI 2024”. The DD should be drawn in favour of Entertainment Society of Goa. Application forms will be accepted till 3pm on 05/11/2024 and will be considered on first come , first allotment basis with payments via D.D only.

Note: Self help groups may contact Rural Development agency for participation. Incomplete applications are liable for rejection.

The Entertainment Society of Goa announces the “SPECIAL GOAN SECTION FEATURE & NON FEATURE FILMS for the 55th International Film Festival of India(IFFI), Goa which is scheduled in Panaji-Goa from 20th to 28th November 2024. The aim of the Special Goan Premier and Non-Premiere Section Feature & Non Feature Films for the 55th IFFI is to select feature and non-feature films of cinematic, thematic and aesthetic excellence in Special Goan Section, for the promotion of film art through the non-profit screening of these films.

This year, we are excited to introduce a new segment titled “Goan Director’s Cut”, aimed at promoting Goan directors during IFFI. This dedicated platform provides an opportunity for Goan directors to showcase their work and celebrates their unique vision and creativity, further enriching the Goan Section of IFFI.

The Entertainment Society of Goa on behalf of The National Tuberculosis Elimination Programme is organizing Ad Film & Reel Making Competition on BCG Vaccination, with a motive to create awareness and to motivate the general public on adult BCG vaccine.

Screening of the Film “And, Towards Happy Alleys” at the Cinephile Film Club on 25th July 2024

This Thursday 25th July at 6.30 the Cinephile Film Club will be screening And, Towards Happy Alleys, (75 mins)directed by Sreemoyee Singh, who will be present for a Q&A after the screening.
After its premiere at the prestigious Berlinale, the film has travelled to several festivals around the globe and won many accolades, including the FIPRESCI critics award at the recently concluded MIFF (Mumbai International Film Festival).
This love letter to Iranian poetry and cinema was made over a period of six years during the directors visit to Iran and features interviews with stalwarts like Jafar Panahi and activist Nasrin Sotudeh.

World Audio Visual & Entertainment Summit (WAVES)

The Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, Government of India, will organize the first edition of the World Audio Visual & Entertainment Summit (WAVES) from 20-24 November, 2024. This landmark event will be hosted in Goa in collaboration with the State Government of Goa.

The Entertainment Society of Goa will be the Nodal Agency for the State Government of Goa to execute the same. MOU has been signed on 13/7/2024 between the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, Government of India and State Government of Goa.

WAVES will serve as a pivotal forum, fostering dialogue, trade collaboration, and innovation within the evolving media and entertainment industry. It will bring together industry leaders, stakeholders, and innovators to explore opportunities, tackle challenges, attract trade to India, and shape the sector’s future.

The summit will showcase India as a hub for innovation and excellence in the media and entertainment sector, paving the way for sustainable growth, attracting investments, and positioning India as a global leader in the entertainment business. The event will feature various sub-events, including conclaves, seminars, business activities, exhibitions, and the promotion of the media and entertainment industry, including MSMEs and start-ups. Additionally, it will facilitate bilateral meetings at the policy level, interactions with CEOs, thought leaders, industry captains, and eminent personalities from India and abroad, along with round-table discussions, inaugural and valedictory functions, and related activities.

WAVES will be supported by industry partners, including the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry, the Confederation of Indian Industry, and other associations dedicated to the media and entertainment industry.
